December 4, 2017 - 4 Wing Cold Lake, City of Cold Lake and the M.D. of Bonnyville with Kinosoo Ridge Snow Resort are coming together to present Snow Fever – the premier winter event in the Lakeland.Snow Fever is a three-day collaborative celebration to be held Family Day weekend (February 17-19, 2018).Kinosoo Ridge will kick off the weekend Sat., Feb. 17, 2018 with Snöjuhla – a snow celebration packed full of food, live music, on-hill racing and more.The City of Cold Lake will take the torch on Sun., Feb. 18 with Fire & Ice at the Marina, which will include ice features, a pond hockey tournament, hotdog and marshmallow roast and more.4 Wing will wrap up the weekend on Mon., Feb. 19 with a bevy of family activities including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wagon rides, cookie decorating and more.“The M.D. is excited to be partnering with our neighbours for a weekend of winter fun, while showcasing Kinosoo Ridge,” says M.D. of Bonnyville Reeve Greg Sawchuk. “It appears we have a long winter ahead of us. This will give us a chance to get out there and embrace the snow with our families.”Wing Commander Col. Paul Doyle agrees it’s going to be a great event.“For the first time, this year the M.D. of Bonnyville’s Kinosoo Ridge joins 4 Wing and the City of Cold Lake to make this event happen. We have lots lined up for Snow Fever and there will be many opportunities for both children and adults to have some winter fun.
